There is no universal approval time for a South African business loan or advance. Timing depends on the provider, product, completeness of documents, credit checks, banking data and the complexity of the business.
Application time is not the same as approval time
A digital form may take only minutes to complete, while assessment and payout can take longer. For example, GoTyme's current Business Advance material says the online application can take a few minutes and that approved funds may be accessible on the same day as approval, subject to bank payment timing. That should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every applicant will be approved the same day.

What can slow an application?
- Missing or inconsistent documents
- Insufficient trading history
- Bank statements that do not clearly reflect business turnover
- Credit or affordability assessment
- Ownership or registration verification
- Additional information requested by the lender
