Getting Started with BXE
What is BXE?
BXE is a connected business-growth ecosystem combining a business website, CRM, AI receptionist and customer-growth tools.
Who is BXE designed for?
Primarily small and growing businesses that want their website, lead capture, CRM and follow-up to work together.
How do I register?
Use the Register button on any page; it opens the registration section on the homepage.
Can I use BXE in different industries?
Yes. BXE maps use cases across 18 major commercial industry clusters.
Does BXE replace my accountant, lawyer or tax practitioner?
No. BXE can organise workflows, information and reminders; regulated/professional work remains with the appropriate professional or authority.
Websites, Hosting & Lead Generation
Does BXE build business websites?
Yes. The website is designed as the front end of the broader customer-growth journey.
Does BXE provide hosting?
Hosting can form part of the BXE website package.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, subject to the domain configuration and implementation requirements.
Does BXE include business email?
Business email can be included depending on the configured package.
Can BXE guarantee Google rankings?
No. BXE can improve the technical/content foundation, but no provider can responsibly guarantee a particular organic ranking.
What does lead generation mean?
Attracting potential customers and creating a measurable enquiry or sales opportunity.
Does traffic guarantee sales?
No. Traffic creates opportunity; the offer, conversion experience, market and follow-up determine outcomes.
CRM & AI Receptionist
What is the BXE CRM?
The customer-management layer used to capture leads, contacts, opportunities and follow-up.
Can website leads enter the CRM?
Yes, configured forms can feed enquiries into the CRM.
Can I manage a sales pipeline?
Yes, opportunities can be organised around defined stages and next actions.
What is the AI receptionist?
An automated voice/customer-handling layer that can answer configured questions and support selected workflows.
Can it use a South African number?
BXE is designed around a local-number experience where the telephony configuration supports it.
Can it work after hours?
Automated first response can operate outside office hours when configured.
Can it make outbound calls?
Selected outbound workflows can be configured subject to consent, business rules and telecommunications requirements.
Can it book appointments?
Yes when connected to an appropriate booking/calendar workflow.
Can a call be escalated to a person?
Suitable workflows should include human escalation for sensitive, urgent or specialist issues.
Payments, E-commerce & Banking
Can customers pay online?
Yes, an appropriate payment provider can be integrated.
Can BXE support e-commerce?
Yes, relevant online sales journeys can be configured.
Does BXE provide a bank account?
No. BXE publishes independent banking resources and can link to provider information.
Are there zero-monthly-fee business accounts?
Some providers publish qualifying zero-fee offers. Eligibility and transaction fees still matter.
Which business bank account is best?
There is no universal best account. Compare total transaction cost, cash handling, digital tools, support and future needs.
Funding & Startup Finance
Does BXE provide business loans?
The BXE site provides funding information; do not assume BXE is the lender unless a specific regulated service is expressly offered.
Do all business loans require two years of trading?
No. Trading-history requirements vary. New businesses nevertheless often have fewer options because they lack turnover and repayment evidence.
Can a director borrow personally for a startup?
Personal credit may be available, but the director personally carries that debt and affordability risk.
What is microfinance?
Smaller-scale credit or development finance designed for smaller borrowers/businesses, with provider-specific rules and costs.
Should I get a loan or more customers?
Identify the bottleneck first. Capital can solve capacity/working-capital constraints; it does not automatically solve weak demand or conversion.
CIPC & Directors
What is CIPC?
The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission administers company registration and related statutory filings.
Is CIPRO still the correct name?
No. The current authority is CIPC.
Do companies file annual returns every year?
Yes. CIPC requires annual returns within the prescribed period.
What is beneficial ownership filing?
It records the natural persons who ultimately own/control the entity as required by the current CIPC process.
Can a company be deregistered for non-compliance?
Yes. CIPC says sustained non-compliance with annual returns and related filings can lead to deregistration.
What are director responsibilities?
They include overseeing the company, keeping required records/filings current, understanding financial/tax position and meeting statutory/fiduciary obligations.
What is directors and officers insurance?
D&O insurance can cover certain claims against directors/officers subject to policy terms and exclusions; it does not erase legal duties.
SARS & Accounting
Does a CIPC company need a separate income-tax registration?
SARS states CIPC-registered companies are registered for income tax through the CIPC/SARS interface.
Are companies provisional taxpayers?
Yes. SARS says companies automatically fall into the provisional-tax system.
What is the 2026 compulsory VAT threshold?
From 1 April 2026 SARS increased it to R2.3 million of taxable supplies in a 12-month period, subject to the detailed rules.
What is turnover tax?
A simplified tax regime for qualifying micro businesses; from 1 April 2026 the annual turnover limit is R2.3 million.
When does PAYE registration matter?
When the business becomes an employer and the statutory conditions are met; SARS provides the employer-registration rules.
Do I need an accountant?
Not every transaction requires an accountant, but professional help becomes increasingly important as tax, payroll, VAT, funding and reporting complexity grows.
Does BXE submit my taxes?
The BXE overview/reminder layer does not automatically make BXE your tax practitioner or replace SARS eFiling.
Government Supplier & CSD
What is CSD?
The Central Supplier Database is the central source of supplier information used by organs of state.
What information does CSD require?
Supplier identification, contacts, address, tax, directors/members, industry/commodity and other applicable information including B-BBEE.
Does CSD registration guarantee government work?
No. Each procurement opportunity has its own requirements and evaluation.
What is Tax Compliance Status?
SARS TCS/PIN allows authorised verification of current tax compliance status.
Do I need B-BBEE information?
CSD includes B-BBEE information and procurement opportunities can impose relevant B-BBEE requirements. Use the correct affidavit/certificate route for your classification.
What does BXE do for government-supplier readiness?
BXE can organise reminders, documents and business/customer operations; official registration and compliance remain with CIPC, SARS, CSD and other authorities.
Connect the business side with the customer-growth side
BXE brings the website, lead capture, CRM, AI receptionist and follow-up journey together. Compliance and financial information on this site remains informational and does not replace the relevant authority or professional adviser.
